To Wingyan
Haiku: Contains three unrhymed lines and usually includes 17 syllables in lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. Haikus generally describe scenes in nature.
In the rains of spring,
An umbrella and raincoat
Pass by, conversing
Limerick: This is a five-line poem with the rhyme scheme aabba. Lines one, two and five may have from 8-11 syllables, and lines three and four may have from 5-7 syllables. It has a bouncy rhythm and it is usually humourous.
There once was a limerick called Steven
Whose rhyme was very uneven
It didn’t make sense
It wasn’t funny
And who’d call a limerick Steven anyway?
Sonnet: This has fourteen lines and is usually written in iambic pentameter, which means each line contains 10 syllables, with an accent of falling on every other syllable. There is also a rhyme scheme of abab cdcd efef gg. Sonnets centre on aspects of love, nature, inner struggles of the soul and other diverse subjects.
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimmed.
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of the fair thou ow’st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade.
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Riddle Poem: This indirectly describes a person, place, thing or idea. The reader must try to figure out the subject of the riddle. A riddle poem can be any length and usually has a rhyme scheme of abcb or aabb.
The beginning of eternity
The end of time and spoace,
The beginning of every end,
The end of every place.
Ode: This poem celebrates a person, animal or objects and is often written without the constraints of formal structure or rhyme.
Oh Mr Brown!
How I wish grammar
Was as interesting,
As you.
The only active
Or passive things
To me are your
Movements.
Who cares about
Verbs, unless you’re
Holding, kissing, touching, stroking, caressing
My hand?
If you want, you can even make it
Carefully, softly, gently, lovingly, continually,
Adverbial.
Oh Mr Brown!
Don’t you know that
Devine, handsome, suave, cuddly, heroic
Adjectives only apply
To you?
Oh Mr Brown!
Your tenses are all wrong.
The present counts
Not the past,
Oh Mr Brown!
I wish you taught
Maths, History, Science Cooking and Netball
Too.
At least then
I’d enjoy them even
Though I don’t
Understand them,
Either.
*These followings is not in my notes but the teacher taught us too
Free Verse: The poem contains no rhymes at all, but has a steady rhythm to it. No syllables constrain or any other format. – refer to my ‘Rose’ for example or try looking up internet.
Narrative: Like free-verse poem, but can contain rhymes to, which means that the poem has no absolute format or constrains at all. It must be written as description of scenes, places, or stories. Usually is first person or third person. – Somewhat like my ‘New Beginning, Another ending’... you can try looking up internet too~

English~
OLE!! today i received back 3 english assignments at the same time - -.... the first one was damn screwed up. 20/30~! i wanna cry T - T... then came second paper... WAKAKAKA!! 15/20! woohoo! not bad! and TADA!! the last one.. i got 20/25! woohooo! wakakaka! so happy! anyway, i've already handed in all my poems... here's the other 2 =)
My free-verse poem:
Rose
By horde of knights she stood
With glamorous mystique of the Empress
Sinister thorn shall devour
Flesh of all who tries to tarnish,
The beauty of Devil
In her disguise.
A flame one shall fear,
Or be reduced to ashes.
Perishing like a foolish insect,
Incapable of perceiving its fate.
Nevertheless, none could defy Death
Wither away as time goes by
No trace of
Its gracefulness remains.
Worthless it becomes,
As its existence ceases.
Falling off her throne,
Witness by none
But the Earth and Sky.
And here's my sonnets~!!:
Music
Dancing your way through invisible stair
Telling the whole world how charming you are
Pervading over monotonous air,
With a melody none could go on par.
Was woven up with wonted words by some,
Into magical tunes indulged by all.
Let those verses be sung with booze and rum,
Or any elsewhere, keeping all enthralled
Should this mystic voice sooth your somber soul,
Or widen that wound inside your weary heart?
Inducing you to your ultimate goal,
Or shattering your eternal dreams apart
As miraculously as it could be
When that mystic voice is let to roam free

english assignment
hey people - -... i need help~ i need you all to give comments for my poem.. i dun really know how to write one so bear with it (haha xD)
New beginning, another ending
In the past I was a lonely boy.
Sat by the window,
Knew nothing of joy
Unhappy, unloved, unwanted.
Then came spring.
Marks the new beginning
The wind of changes bring.
A girl walked into my life
And save me from myself.
Like a guiding star,
That heals my scar.
A light in the darkness,
That frees me from my sadness.
She said that she's meant to be,
That 'someone' who cares for me.
That girl that taught me 'love',
The person who makes me smile,
The only one that will never makes me cry.
2nd September, the starting of Fall.
Tapping sound on the window pane,
Dancing rhythm of the sorrow rain.
Sitting by the bed,
Where my angel laid like dead.
I wish she could defy fate,
And wake up from this slumber.
I know not what to do,
Nor who should to turn to.
Seconds ticked by,
Where it seems eternal like a lie.
Then it all went wrong:
When her smile goes fading,
And her heart stops beating.
I sit there where my hope ceases,
Like a mirror smash to pieces.
Reality; A blade that cut through my heart,
Leaving my world falling apart.
My tears are nothing in that cruel rain,
My cries are nothing as they go in vain.
My prayers are nothing when God doesn't care,
My life is nothing when you aren't there.
My love is nothing...
When you'll never know.

ROAR!
wahhh T - T... i feel so sad~ i've resumed and continued to update my blog already and now, no one is reading it~ that's just too sad to be true~ nvm! i'll just type it down anyway xD~
Today! My class was isolated! woohoo! at first, there were 7 absentees in my class, suspected to be ill. after the morning temperature taking, 3 more people was sent home, leaving us with 20 people. after continuing the lesson for some time, we realized that most of us are coughing, having runny nose, and bla bla bla (flu-like symptoms)... and then! wooho! our class was isolated! meaning, we were shifted to somewhere deserted (sec4 block, 7th floor where is out of use)... and guess what? we have no need to go for CCAs, Lab activities, afternoon lessons, and etc. for this week! WOOHOO! what could possibly be better than this~ when the deen of student developement announced this to us, we were like "OH YEAH! THANK GOD!" then everyone were cheering (haha, typical thing in ri), and the deen was like "Oh no! I'm so disappointed in you all! Do you know what is my position before i was promoted to my current one? i was the head of CCAs!" then we all burst into laughter~
since today our teachers were informed of our sudden isolation, they weren't really prepared and guess what? MOST of them came late by 20 to 30 min! wakakaka! our lunch is usually from 1.30 to 2.15 and after that we have one more period and the sch ends at 3.15... since we are on isolation, we are not supposed to interact with the others so our lunch were cancelled... T - T.. boohoo!.... JUST JOKING! HAHAHA!! yeah! our lunch were cancelled and we continue with our lesson but we were dismissed at 2.15 instead! HAHAHAHA! anyway, thanks to this gift from god, my deadlines for works are all shifted~!!! woohoo! if not i'd have been rushing work day and night by now (haha)~
